I love vacuum cleaners

The vacuum cleaner is one of the greatest inventions of our time. Just try to imagine yourself without one. It’s one of those tools that does the job when everything else fails. It is one of my all time favourites. I personally own four and I use them all. The most important one for me is the central vacuum system in my house. Because mainly for its practicability.

For some reason I've always had a fascination for vacuum cleaner I really like using them and keeping them in good working order.
I remember very well when I was a kid, my parents use to own a kerby vacuum cleaner it was a terrifying thing to look at, very noisy and built like a tank. Today I think it looks like a piece of art. A monument to the way things were builds back in those days

For me there is something very satisfying about being able to make things disappear like by magic. A good vacuuming of the house other than make the air more breathable will do a lot to raise my spirit. In fact any time something is annoying me I think (if only unconsciously) to use the vacuum cleaner to make it go away. Of course in many case this could not work not because it is impossible but because of the size of the vacuum cleaner it would take, and also because of some other obvious legal consideration!

As a carpenter, the vacuum cleaner is the first tool to get in and the last to get out of the job site. I use it a lot, especially at the end of the day to leave the job sites clean.
It is actually one of my trademarks, I have made a reputation of minimizing the accumulation of dust in my client's house.

A good reason to own at least two vacuum cleaners is that they can clean each other when you change the bag or empty the bucket. Use the other vacuum to clean the filter without creating a mess. It never really bothered me when I have to empty the vacuum cleaner, because I know that I will benefit with more suction power and portability.

I have fixed many vacuum cleaners and it is usually very easy to do. Very often, it will be the switch, a broken wire, the alimentation cord, or the motor brushes. And in most case those parts are inexpensive and easy to find.

Yes I am a very strange kind of guy I don't care about cars I don't own any collection but I do love vacuum cleaners.
